Whilst pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I was browsing through my school’s (Singapore Management University) job portal when I came across CNCo’s Management Trainee Programme. I was immediately attracted to this programme as it allowed me to experience various business functions before affirming what I was best suited for.
Transitioning to the maritime industry was tough, especially with new jargons and business terms. However, with adequate guidance and a great support system, I managed to pick up the skills required and supported the departments I was posted to.
Being an extroverted person myself, I take pride in my interactions with employees of all levels and understanding the challenges that they face. This gives me a sense of fulfilment and joy, which is why I decided to be a HR advisor.
